BOAT HANDLING / COMPETENT CREW

The increased dependence on the sea for food recreation and transportation has resulted in a significant increase in marine traffic of all types, particularly in the tourist centres.  Regulations governing the operation of small crafts require that operators be licensed by the Maritime Authority to ensure technical competence, knowledge of the basic rules of marine safety and awareness of the need to protect the marine environment.

The course will allow participants to attain levels of competence required to be licensed by the Maritime Authority.
