Welcome Message from the Office of the Registrar

Every year this unique Maritime Centre of excellence for tertiary maritime education, training, research and consultancy is inundated with request from far and wide, for enrolment into its ever-expanding programmes. Currently the only International Standard Organization (ISO) certified tertiary institution of its kind in the English-speaking Caribbean. The Caribbean Maritime Institute is proud of its enrolment record.

In my capacity as the Registrar. keeper of the gateway in and out of the Institute. I wish to welcome you all, new and returning students to the Caribbean Maritime Institute. You could never have made a better choice than to join this noble Institution where a very high premium is placed on discipline and attitude without compromising quality and academic excellence.

The Caribbean Maritime Institute is proud of its achievements, it is proud of the quality of its products: the graduates. Welcome to the winners enclosure, welcome to the CMI family.

As you embark on your programme of studies, emphasize knowledge. not grades. Whatever you learn. hear, or experience, share with your fellow students. Do not seek to be the only one to get A’s. At the Caribbean Maritime Institute. A’s are not in short supply. Remember that knowledge is like a hole; the more you take from it the bigger it gets; it does not get smaller.
